I just came across some updates on the case of Makel Alonzo Rueben Coleman, and I can't get it out of my mind. I didn't know Makel personally, but his story resonates with me deeply. It's incredibly frustrating to see another young life cut short by gun violence, and the lack of detailed information from the authorities is concerning. I wonder if the community around Pleasure Ridge Park has any additional insights or if there are witnesses who haven't come forward yet. My heart goes out to Makel's family and friends during this unimaginably tough time, especially since the case seems no closer to being solved. Keeping them in my thoughts and hoping for justice sooner rather than later. If anyone here has any resources or ideas on how to keep his story in the public eye, please share. Every bit of awareness helps.
Has anyone else noticed how quiet the area of 6500 Hackel Drive has been since Makel’s murder? I used to drive through there regularly, and it's always been lively with people out and about. It’s eerie now, almost like the community is holding its breath. I can’t help but think of Makel’s family and friends who must be navigating that silence in even deeper ways than I can imagine. It's distressing to see a community altered so profoundly. Does anyone here live nearby or have any thoughts on how the neighborhood can rally to bring positive change and healing? Losing someone in such a violent way must be a heavy load for everyone involved. Hopefully, there’ll be a breakthrough soon that can offer some peace.
