I can’t stop thinking about the vigil that was held for Deja and Marcel. I’ve read a lot about these kinds of tragedies, but witnessing a whole neighborhood rally together in Woodlawn just brought it to a different level. The photos and stories from the vigil, especially when Alexis Mottlaverria spoke about Marcel, really showed how much these two meant to their community. You could feel the love and loss in the air. Sharing memories and lighting candles might not bring them back, but it shows they're truly missed and remembered. I hope this unity also motivates someone with information to come forward. The strength and support for the families were truly moving. If anything, it’s a testament to the impact both Deja and Marcel had on everyone around them.

I can't stop thinking about Deja Willingham and what her family must be going through right now. I've read that they’ve requested privacy, which is completely understandable during such a painful time. It makes me wonder how hard it is for families to cope with such a sudden and tragic loss when the public's interest is so intense. I hope they have a strong support system around them and are getting the privacy and space they need to grieve. If anyone has any tips on how communities can best support grieving families in situations like this, I'd love to hear them. It’s just so important to come together and support one another during such trying times. Keeping Deja, Marcel, and their families in my thoughts.

I’ve been thinking so much about how this tragedy might have affected Deja Willingham’s circle of friends. It’s incredibly tough to lose a friend so suddenly, especially to something as senseless as gun violence. From what I’ve gathered, Deja had a close-knit group of friends who are likely reeling from this loss. It's such a sad reminder of how fragile life is. If anyone in the Portland area has any insights into her friendships or their efforts to cope, please share. Community gatherings, tributes, or anything similar can sometimes offer a glimpse into how friends are processing grief. My heart truly goes out to everyone involved, and I hope they find some peace and justice soon. Remember to hold your loved ones close.
