I came across the case of Frank Denoga recently and one thing that's puzzling me is how someone could go overboard from a vessel like the *Blue Wave* without anyone noticing immediately. I mean, with a crew on board, wouldn't someone have heard something or seen him fall? Granted, fishing vessels can be noisy and hectic places, but it feels like something would have caught a crew member's eye or ear. Has anyone here with maritime experience shed light on how common it is for someone to go over without immediate detection? It's hard to imagine that someone could vanish like that, unnoticed in such close quarters.

Just throwing this out there—does anyone know if the weather that day was unusually rough? Sometimes when I hear about these cases involving fishing boats, I start thinking about how unpredictable the sea can be. I haven’t come across any info detailing the conditions on August 16th. I know the Coast Guard is pretty thorough, but if the waves were high or there was a strong current, it might've complicated things even further. Also, just wondering if Frank was known to be an experienced fisherman or if he was newer to the crew. It’s these little details that could make a difference in understanding what might have happened.

I've been following Frank Denoga's case, and something that's been on my mind is the weather conditions at the time he went overboard. Does anyone know if there were reports of rough seas or bad weather in that area on August 16, 2021? I've read that sometimes unexpected waves can hit even experienced fishermen, and I wonder if that could have contributed to what happened. It's just so puzzling how someone could vanish like that with no trace. Would love to hear more insights or theories about the conditions he might have faced out there.
