I was reading about Donny Calabaza’s tragic death, and I can’t help but wonder about the timing and location of the shooting. Buckman Neighborhood isn’t exactly known for violent crime, is it? It leaves me thinking whether this was a random act or if Donny knew his attacker. Given that he was so active in the local Indigenous community, it makes you question if there's more to this story. Perhaps someone had a disagreement with him at one of the events he attended? I really hope the investigators piece together the details soon. This must be such an unimaginably tough time for his family and friends, and they deserve closure. Anyone with even the smallest bit of info, please step forward. We owe it to Donny and his loved ones to help them find answers. Does anyone else find any significance in where this took place?
It’s truly sad to hear about Donny Calabaza’s passing. I didn’t know him personally, but I attended a few of the Indigenous events here in Portland and remember seeing him actively participating and bringing a sense of enthusiasm and warmth to the gatherings. It’s hard to process how someone so involved in the community can be taken away like this. I hope the police and detectives get the information they need to bring justice for Donny and closure to his family. If anyone knows anything, no matter how small, please share it with the detectives. Keeping his family and friends in my thoughts during this difficult time.
