I've been following this tragic case since it first happened, and my heart goes out to Moises Ortiz-Santiago's family and friends. It’s been over five months since his life was senselessly taken, and I still can't wrap my head around why these things happen. I noticed that the GoFundMe for his family is still far from its goal, which feels like a reminder of the ongoing struggle they must be facing, both emotionally and financially. It's incredible to see the community come together to support them, but it’s disheartening to see that they’re still in need. Does anyone know if there have been any other fundraising efforts or events organized to assist Moises' family? I genuinely hope that they are finding some semblance of peace, and I hope our community can continue to offer them the help they need.

It's incredibly sad to hear about Moises Ortiz-Santiago's case and the toll it's taken on his family and community. I wanted to focus on something that often gets overshadowed in cases like this: the community support that arises in such difficult times. I read about the GoFundMe campaign started to help Moises' family with funeral costs and other expenses. As of now, it's reached nearly $3,000, but there's still a long way to go to meet their $11,500 goal. This reminds me of the importance of coming together to help those in need, even if all we can contribute are thoughts and prayers. While justice is being served with the arrests of Pena-Guerrero and Soto, I hope more people will step up to assist Moises' family. If you can, please consider donating or spreading the word. Every little bit helps, and it can ease some of the burden they're facing during such a tumultuous time. Let's continue to keep Moises' loved ones in our thoughts and work towards healing and justice.
