I can't imagine the fear and unease that neighbors felt knowing that a lethal argument escalated over something seemingly minor, like a bottle of liquor. It makes me wonder about the environment and tensions that can build between people without others realizing. My heart goes out to Ousman Gasama's family and friends—those closest to him who were possibly aware of his fears and unable to keep this tragedy from happening. It's a somber reminder that unresolved disputes and personal conflicts can have devastating outcomes. I'm glad to see IMPD recognized the community's role in piecing together what happened. Does anyone else feel like this highlights a call to be more aware of what goes on around us and to intervene or offer help when we sense something's off?
