Hey everyone, I’ve been following the discussion around the Lemar Qualls case and noticed something that hasn't been talked about much. Has anyone else looked into the IMPD's bodycam policy and the geo-location activation system? I can't shake the feeling that relying solely on this technology could leave room for mishaps or gaps in accountability, especially in situations that escalate so quickly. Considering Officer Flick didn’t have his bodycam activated during such a crucial moment just makes me uneasy. I understand tech can be unpredictable at times, but should there be more emphasis on officers manually checking their equipment or even mandatory briefings on tech maintenance before every shift? I really hope that the internal investigations can shed some light on this aspect. Having that footage would potentially clarify so much about what actually happened leading up to the shooting. My heart goes out to Qualls' family during this devastating time. Seeing justice done right and thorough investigations carried out could, hopefully, provide them and the community some answers. What do you all think? Is it realistic to expect technology to always work perfectly in these critical moments, or should there be more accountability placed on human responsibility in these situations?
