I can't stop thinking about how unimaginably difficult this must be for Matt's family and especially for his little daughter, Zoey. Losing a parent so suddenly and violently at such a young age is a trauma no child should ever have to face. It's clear from everything I've read that Matt was a dedicated father and a well-respected community member. I find some comfort knowing he was surrounded by so many people who loved him dearly.
Does anyone know if there are any support efforts up and running for Zoey and the family, maybe a fund set up to help with her future? It seems like that could offer at least a sliver of support during this impossibly hard time. If anyone has heard anything about this, please let us know. Keeping them all in my thoughts.
Has anyone else noticed how fast the community rallied around Matt Boggs' family and friends? I think it's truly a testament to the impact he had on those around him. The candlelight vigil they organized at Bedford High was packed, and the stories shared about Matt’s kindness and passion for history were incredibly moving. It’s clear he was loved by many. His daughter, Zoey, must be going through a tremendously difficult time. It breaks my heart to think of her growing up without him. I hope the community continues to support her and the rest of Matt’s family through this incredibly challenging time. It's moments like these that remind us how important it is to cherish your loved ones.
