I was reading about Erica Reed's case, and my heart goes out to her family, especially her kids, KJ and Emari. It's so tragic when a child loses a parent, and I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they’re going through. I think it's amazing that KJ found some comfort through the Storytellers Camp with Chicago Survivors. It sounds like a wonderful program that provides much-needed support to kids dealing with such trauma. It'd be great if more communities had programs like these to help children cope with their loss. For anyone interested, maybe learning about or supporting these kinds of initiatives could be a small way to honor Erica's memory and help other kids like KJ. Stay strong, little ones. ?
