The fact that someone could be influenced to the extent of taking lives, believing it was for some fictional cartel—it’s beyond my comprehension. My heart goes out to the friends and family of the Bartolomeis. They must be grappling with not only their tragic loss but also trying to make sense of the twisted deception behind it all.
