Hey everyone, I haven’t seen much discussion about the role of nearby businesses in the tragic events that happened with Rashad Dorsey and Dacarri Womack. I can't help but think about how terrifying it must have been for local childcare centers during the shooting. These are spaces meant for nurturing young lives, and to have such violence happen so close is just unimaginable. Many parents entrust these centers with their kids every day, hoping they’re safe. With something as horrifying as this happening nearby, it really underscores how the ripple effects of such a crime affect not just those directly involved, but the entire community. I hope this tragedy leads to some form of real action to ensure that the children in places like these aren’t exposed to such dangers. This neighborhood has been through too much, and something needs to change for the sake of all the kids growing up there. Would love to hear thoughts on what local businesses might be thinking and how they might be impacted by such violence.
