Has anyone else been following the case of Darnell Burt? Every time I read about another victim of gun violence, it just guts me. I've been keeping an eye on the National Gun Violence Memorial, and seeing Darnell's picture there hits hard. He seemed like he'd be around the same age as my dad, and I can’t help but think about what his family must be going through right now.
I know there haven't been any updates about suspects or arrests, but I’m hoping someone somewhere is making this a priority. It’s frustrating how often these cases fall into silence, and the families are left without answers. I wish there was more we could do as a community to support them and keep pushing for justice.
