Has anyone else been reflecting on the Pheasant Run Apartments shooting in Joliet Township? It's upsetting to think about how this whole tragic series of events started there. Toyosi Bakare, the young man who lost his life at only 28, seems to have been somewhat overlooked in the media with everyone focusing so heavily on the family shootings. It's understandable given the severity, but Toyosi's life mattered too. He wasn't related to the Nance family, right? So what is the connection between Toyosi and Romeo Nance? Seems like an odd place to start such a terrible spree. My heart goes out to Toyosi’s family and friends—losing someone in such a violent and unexpected way must be incredibly tough. If anyone has more insight or information about Toyosi, I'd love to hear it. We should remember all the victims equally and not let their stories fade into the background.
