I've been following the case of Denzel M. Woolfolk and it's such a sobering reminder of how gun violence continues to devastate communities, especially the younger generation. What I've been thinking about recently is the impact on Denzel's friends and peers. At 19, many of them are probably just starting to really figure out their adult lives, and now they’re having to confront such a profound loss. I can only imagine the emotional toll this must be taking on them. It's not just the loss of a friend; it's a harsh wake-up call to the realities of the world we live in. I hope they’re getting the support they need to process this tragedy. No one should have to learn to cope with losing a friend this way, especially so young. Does anyone here know if there are community support structures in East Saint Louis for young people dealing with these kinds of experiences? I feel like having a safe space to share and grieve might be crucial for them right now.

Has anyone attending the funeral service for Denzel shared what the vibe was like at Calvary Missionary Baptist? I've been following this tragic case closely, and my heart goes out to Denzel's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. ? Just wondering if there were any specific tributes or words spoken that really captured who Denzel was and how much he meant to those around him. It's so frustrating to see lives lost to senseless violence, and I'm hoping the community can come together to support each other and keep Denzel's memory alive. If anyone has any updates or anything they'd like to share about the service, please do.
