I've been following the case of Lamont O'Brien, and something that's been on my mind is the role of ShotSpotter technology. I understand it alerted the police to the shooting, but I'm curious about how reliable this system is in getting timely responses from law enforcement? Did it make a significant difference in this case, or are there areas where it could improve?
It's hard to imagine the pain Lamont's family must be going through, not just with losing him but also in the struggle for justice. I hope the ShotSpotter technology, which seems designed to help with incidents like these, is providing some support in quickly bringing perpetrators to justice.
