It’s frustrating and painful to see young lives taken so early. I've been following Demarion Raggs's case, and something that really caught my attention is the location where the incident happened. South Independence Boulevard is pretty busy, even around 8:30 p.m. It's surprising that a shooting could occur there without anyone coming forward with more substantial leads. I mean, there had to be people around, maybe even dashcams or security cameras that weren’t initially obvious to police investigators.
It's troubling to think that the people responsible for such a senseless act could be walking around freely. I hope that the release of those clips will jog someone's memory. Let’s keep Demarion and his family in our thoughts and hope they get the justice they deserve. Does anyone have more info on the community's response or any local initiatives to combat this violence? The loss of young Demarion is weighing heavily on my mind. It's unfathomable to think a child couldn't even stand on the sidewalk without facing such danger. I watched the clip the police released, and it haunts me knowing that those individuals might hold the answers to this senseless act.
