I can't stop thinking about how talented Lil Scoom89 was. His music hit hard, and you could tell he was going places. It's such a tragedy that this bright future was cut short. One thing that stands out to me is how close-knit the Chicago rap community is; they really rally around each other. With everything Lil Scoom89 had going on, from his singles to his project "Welcome To Buttonland," it seemed like he was really gaining momentum. I hope that Lil Will recovers fully and can heal from not just his injuries but the traumatic experience of losing his friend in such a violent way. It must be unimaginably difficult to cope with. No one should have to go through something like this. I can't imagine the pain and frustration his family and friends must be feeling, especially since the suspect is still out there. In times like these, it’s important to remember the good he brought through his art and the lives he touched with his music. Love and strength to everyone impacted by this senseless act.
