I've been following the case of Valentina Garcia, and it's deeply upsetting to think about the hole left in the lives of her friends and family. While we don't have many details about what exactly happened that night in July, it makes me consider the impact that losing someone so young must have on a community. The National Gun Violence Memorial is such an important platform for those grieving—they're able to share photos and light candles, keeping the memory of Valentina alive. I wish we had more information about the investigation or any progress that has been made. It's frustrating not knowing if there has been any movement towards justice for her and her loved ones. Has anyone else come across updates I might have missed?
