It's so awful to hear about what happened to Juan Salgado. As a parent, I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family is going through losing someone with such a bright future. This tragedy is absolutely senseless, and it seems like the kind of thing that could happen to anyone—a young talent with so much to look forward to, suddenly taken away. I also think about his teammate who wasn't feeling well and how Juan cared enough to give him a ride home. What a kind and compassionate gesture, showing the kind of person Juan really was. I really hope the community stays strong together as they grieve his loss and justice is served for Juan and his family. It's so important to remember and honor him as more than just this tragic incident, but for his dedication and kindness he showed every day.
