I can’t stop thinking about the overwhelming sense of fear this incident must have caused in the Douglas neighborhood. I grew up not too far from there, and it sends chills down my spine imagining those living in the area, especially with such a high number of shell casings found. It’s a terrifying reminder of how gun violence can erupt seemingly out of nowhere.
What’s really concerning is how many potential witnesses might have been too scared to come forward. I've heard similar stories where people have hesitated to speak up out of fear for their safety. I hope there’s someone out there who’ll find the courage to help Rahiem’s family find closure.
