I just can't wrap my head around what happened to Steven Cotner and his sister, Allison, that terrible night in Calumet City. I’ve been following crime stories in the area, and this one just hits different. It's chilling how such a routine delivery turned into a nightmare. It’s deeply saddening to think that Steven was just out there doing his job, looking out for his sister, and this senseless act occurred.
I've been wondering about the safety measures for delivery drivers. Is there something more Windy City Pizza Works, or any company for that matter, could implement to protect their workers? Maybe more surveillance in hot spots or even some kind of rapid alert system? It's scary to think how quickly something can escalate—and reading how Steven stepped in to protect Allison really strikes a chord. He sounds like such a loving brother; it’s tragic he had to pay the ultimate price.
Seeing his family struggle with funeral costs on top of their grief is so tough. It’s just so unfair to lose someone like this. Really hoping justice is served, and this raises awareness about delivery drivers' safety in the long run. My heart goes out to Allison and the entire Cotner family.
Hey everyone. My heart goes out to the Cotner family, especially Allison. What caught my attention is the immense courage Steven showed during the whole ordeal. Jumping in to protect his sister without a second thought is such a testament to his character, and it's just beyond tragic that it ended the way it did. It must be incredibly hard for Allison, having to carry the weight of witnessing that night and dealing with her own trauma from the attack.
I've been following the updates, and I saw there’s a GoFundMe set up for Steven. I think it's a great way for those of us in the community, even from afar, to show support and help ease some of the burdens on the family. It’s moments like these that remind me of the importance of community coming together and looking out for one another. If anyone has already come across the link or more details on how we can help, please share it here. Let's keep this thread a space for support and hope justice is served for Steven and his family.
I’ve been following the tragic case of Steven Cotner, and one part of this story that really shocked me is how it all happened over what seemed like a typical routine job for many young people. It's terrifying to think about how a simple pizza delivery led to such a senseless act of violence. The bravery Steven showed trying to protect his sister during such a frightening situation speaks volumes about the kind of person he was.
His actions were incredibly selfless, and it's deeply unsettling to think of the void his loss creates for his family and friends. I'm also saddened by what Allison had to endure, both physically and emotionally. I can’t imagine the lifelong impact this might have on her.
It's reassuring to see that the authorities acted quickly and have made arrests, but it still leaves a lot of questions about what drives young individuals to commit such crimes. My heart goes out to the Cotner family, and I hope they find some solace in the support from those around them.
