I’ve been following the case of Oumar Mbodj, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I recently read about how much he cherished his community and was active in helping other immigrants settle in the US. It's truly tragic that such a promising life was cut short in such a violent manner. The wider issue of gun violence in the US is daunting, especially when you hear about stories like Oumar’s and El Hadji Sow’s. I hope these incidents highlight the need for more preventive measures and better protection for international students. Thinking of all those who knew and loved him, and hoping for swift justice in his case.
