Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about the role the Atlanta University Center Consortium played in catching the suspect so quickly. It makes me wonder if there's a lesson here about how universities and local law enforcement should work together more closely when something tragic like this happens. The fact that they managed to arrest Holliman-Peoples just a couple of days after the incident is quite remarkable, and I can’t help but feel that the presence of campus cameras was crucial in piecing everything together. It's so tragic that Jatonne's life was cut so short just as he was making his mark both academically and on the field. My heart goes out to his family who had to rush from Chicago, with little time to even process the horror of what happened. I hope they find some comfort, even though I know nothing will ever fill the void Jatonne leaves behind. What do you all think about campus security measures? Do you think having more integrated systems could really help prevent, or at least help solve more incidents like this? Would love to hear your thoughts. Stay safe everyone.
