Hey everyone, I can't stop thinking about the devastating impact Ja'quavious Lackey's death has undoubtedly had on his community and especially on his family and friends. It's a stark reminder of how gun violence isn't just a statistic but a real, painful loss for those left behind. One thing that's really on my mind is the trauma that the witnesses must be going through, especially if they were close to Ja’quavious or even the suspect, given the nature of their relationship. Being there at the scene must have been incredibly distressing, and I hope they are getting the support they need to process such a traumatic event. The silence that follows such incidents often seems deafening, but I hope in time, those affected can find a way to share their stories and perhaps spark the change that is so desperately needed. It's on us as a community to listen and support one another to prevent this from continuing to spiral out of control.
