Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Christopher Dwayne Curry Jr.’s tragic passing and something has been really weighing on my mind. It appears that Chris, being all of 28 years, had his whole life ahead of him, and I can’t help but wonder about the community’s response. Lawton Avenue, where the incident happened, is a residential area where people know each other. I can’t imagine how unsettling this must be for the folks living there, knowing that someone among them or passing through could be involved in such a violent act. Does anyone know if there’s been any community outreach or efforts to provide residents with support or assurance? I think about the fear and uncertainty this creates, not just for Chris’s family and friends, who are surely grappling with losing him but for everyone in that neighborhood who now feels a bit less safe. If you’re from Macon or nearby, it would be good to hear how people are doing in the area.
