Did anyone else see the recent developments around the case on social media? I found it so touching how the community in Fort Valley is rallying to support Shalandra Hooten’s family. It must be such an incredibly difficult time for her son, Jaqwan, and the rest of the family. I can't even imagine what they're going through, especially since it was such a senseless act of violence that took Shalandra away from them. I've been reading about the juvenile suspect, and I'm really conflicted about them being tried as an adult. I understand the severity of the crime, but I wonder what could lead someone so young down this path. It's a tragic situation all around. Sending thoughts and prayers to everyone affected, and hoping for justice and healing. Would love to hear what others think about the juvenile angle—do we think this approach is the right one?
