Reading about Sonny's tragic death really got me thinking about how senseless and destructive gun violence is in our communities. It’s so upsetting to think about the circumstances surrounding his murder, especially considering he was just trying to be there for his family like any loving father would. I can't imagine what his children and his partner, Ashley, must be going through right now.
What struck me most was the misreporting of Brandon's death as a car crash at first. I wonder how much crucial time might have been lost during those early stages of the investigation due to that mix-up. It makes you question how resources are allocated in such cases and whether this might have delayed any early leads or potential breakthroughs. It's such a devastating reminder of how important accurate and timely reporting is in criminal investigations.
I'm hoping that the community support and the efforts from the fundraiser can bring some much-needed resources to the family and help push for answers. They deserve justice and closure, and we need to keep talking about this to ensure it doesn't get overlooked. My thoughts are with Brandon’s family during this incredibly tough time. ?

I just can't stop thinking about how strong Brandon's family is throughout all this. It must be incredibly difficult for Chris, especially since he was the one who discovered his brother and tried to save him. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and shock he must have felt in that moment. The fact that there were no arrests made yet must be adding to their grief, and I hope that justice is served soon.
This situation really makes you pause and think about how fleeting life is and how something like this can impact so many lives. It's heartwarming to see the community rallying around them, but I wish it didn’t have to be under such circumstances. Sending love and strength to all of Brandon's family, friends, and especially his kids. We need to keep supporting them and spreading the word until those responsible are held accountable.
Has anyone heard any updates from the police or anything about the reward fund progress?

I still can't believe what happened to Brandon "Sonny" Castlin. The thought of someone so full of life and dedication to his kids being taken away in such a tragic manner is just beyond comprehension. His family must be going through unimaginable pain right now, especially his children who have lost their loving father and role model.
One thing that's particularly shocking is how the initial report classified it as a car crash when it was actually a robbery-turned-murder. Misleading reports like that can seriously hinder investigations and justice efforts. I feel for Chris, his brother, who had to find him. That must have been incredibly traumatic, and now he's taking the lead in seeking justice.
I hope the community continues to rally around them, and that the fundraiser helps bring the resources needed to keep the search for the perpetrators alive. No family should face this kind of horror alone. Anyone else have thoughts on the investigation? Or anything we can do to support from afar?
