Does anyone else find the timeline of Randy Brown's case a bit puzzling? I was digging through old news archives, and it seems like there's a gap in the coverage after his initial disappearance. From what I can tell, he was last seen on New Year's Day 1977, but there’s hardly any media coverage or public attention on the case until much later. I know media attention was different back then, but it piques my curiosity about what might have happened in those early days when his disappearance was still fresh. Maybe there were community search efforts or local rumors that weren’t widely reported? If anyone has old newspaper clippings or family anecdotes from Olathe around that time, it could be really interesting to learn more. It's a long shot, but sometimes the smallest detail can make a difference in understanding these old cases.
