Does anyone else find it perplexing how this case unfolded? I just saw that the police finally made an arrest in the tragic shooting of Thomas Carlos Felder with James Rice now facing serious charges. This must be a huge relief for Thomas's family and friends, knowing that the person believed to be responsible is now in custody. Though I can't imagine how painful it must be to not fully understand why this happened in the first place.
It's incredible what the release of surveillance footage can achieve. Kudos to the MPD for sticking with this investigation and bringing some semblance of closure. Still, it raises so many questions about what led to this senseless act of violence. Did they know each other? Was it random? It's so frustrating not having these answers yet. Crossing fingers that as more information comes out, it will help those who knew and loved Thomas make sense of this terrible loss.
