Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Rogelio Sernas case for a while and something that really strikes me is the lack of media coverage it received back in 1984 and even in the years that followed. We hear so little about what might have happened to him or what he was doing before he vanished. It’s just sad how cases like his can slip through the cracks when there's so little information to go on.
I can't help but wonder if there are people out there who might have seen something that could help. With modern technology, even a tidbit shared on social media could spark new interest or bring new leads. It would be great to see some renewed efforts or even a campaign to bring some attention back to Rogelio’s case. Every little bit helps and who knows, it could make a difference. Thoughts?
I've been reading up on the Rogelio Sernas case again, and something that's always puzzled me is the complete lack of media coverage it's received over the years. It seems like some cases just slip through the cracks without any spotlight. I wonder if there was ever a concerted outreach to the media by his family or if it just got overshadowed by other events at the time. Indio, CA isn't exactly a bustling metropolis, so I'd think a story like a missing young adult would have garnered more local interest at least. Does anyone here have insight into how media coverage of missing persons was typically handled back in the 1980s, especially in smaller communities? It's frustrating to think that with more publicity, maybe someone with information might have felt compelled to come forward.
I came across Rogelio Sernas’s case recently, and it's been bugging me that there’s so little out there about it. A 19-year-old just vanishing into thin air and barely any media coverage? It’s frustrating. I’ve noticed some other cases around that time from Indio, CA, and I’m wondering if they could be linked in any way. It seems like there might have been a lack of resources or focus on these cases back then, and now they’re buried under decades of more recent incidents. Does anyone have more information about what was happening in Indio around that time? Any similar cases or patterns that could offer any insights? Even a small piece of the puzzle could help bring some long-overdue attention to his case.
