I can’t stop thinking about the bravery and selflessness David Keeley showed in those terrifying moments. It's gut-wrenching to think that such kindness could be met with such violence. Retiring to Florida should have been a time for David and Michael to enjoy their new chapter together, but it ended so tragically. It's always striking how a single decision, like giving someone a ride, can change everything. I keep wondering what goes through the mind of someone like Paul Wayne Williams II—how he could betray the trust of two people willing to help him, and turn to such violence. David's generosity and caring nature shouldn't have ended this way. I hope the justice system does its part and holds Williams accountable to the fullest extent. It’s a painful reminder for all of us to be cautious, but we must also remember David for the loving, quiet, and generous soul he was. His legacy shouldn’t be overshadowed by this one senseless act of violence. Sending strength to Michael and the entire family during this incredibly difficult time.

I’ve been following the tragic case of David Keeley and am truly shocked by the circumstances surrounding this senseless act of violence. One thing that really sticks with me is the courage it must have taken for Michael Fordyce to later recount the nightmare he experienced. It’s clear that the bond between him and David was incredibly strong, and losing a partner in such a horrific way is unimaginable. It also makes me wonder about the sequences of trust that led up to this incident. Sometimes, the willingness to lend a hand stems from a truly good heart, and it’s devastating to see how that instinct can be so terribly exploited. My heart goes out to the family and friends left to cope with this loss. I can only hope that justice will be served and bring them some semblance of peace.
