I’ve been following Jean's case, and it really hit me hard when I heard about how his parents and siblings witnessed the unimaginable at their own doorstep. It’s unfathomable to think of the pain they must be going through, seeing such an integral part of their lives taken away so senselessly. I can't imagine what his family must be feeling every time they walk past that spot, their home now holding such tragic memories. Besides the emotional trauma, there’s also the aspect of the community rallying around them through the GoFundMe effort. I think it really speaks to the positive influence Jean had on those around him—everyone wants to help in any way they can. It’s nice to see people stepping up to support each other in hard times, but I truly wish it were under different circumstances. If anyone here has experience with supporting families who’ve gone through similar tragedies, any advice on how to help them heal would be appreciated. It’s so important we find ways to stand by them now, beyond just financial aid.

I was particularly struck by the community's response to his passing. The GoFundMe campaign really shows how much Jean meant to so many people. It’s comforting to see that people are coming together to support his family during this difficult time. It makes me wonder about the importance of community in healing from such tragedies. How do you all think communities can best support families affected by senseless violence?
