I've been following this case closely, and my heart goes out to Angel Bailey's family, especially her four kids. It’s truly unimaginable what they must be going through.
One thing I’ve been thinking about is the impact on the children. Losing a mother in such a sudden and violent way is devastating enough, but knowing it was at the hands of a relative must compound their grief. Cousins are often some of our first friends in life; they’re family. How do you ever explain that betrayal to children? They’ll never forget this, and as a community, we need to rally around them, provide as much support as possible, and ensure they have the resources to heal over time.
I also hope there will be some attention on supporting the emotional and psychological aspects for these kids in the legal proceedings. It's crucial for them to feel a sense of safety and stability moving forward.
