I can't stop thinking about the scene those poor kids witnessed. Seriously, I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to see something so horrific happen to someone you love. It’s a relief that they weren’t hurt physically, but emotionally this is going to be a long road for them, I’m sure.
What I've been wondering is how schools typically handle things in situations like this, especially since Oak Grove Elementary was put on lockdown. Do they have counselors come in for the students who might be scared or confused about what happened? And how do they help Lawson’s children specifically, considering what they went through? It’s a lot for anyone to handle, let alone kids. My heart goes out to them and anyone else affected. Really hoping they get all the support they need.
I’ve been following the case of Jeretha Lawson, and every detail just makes it even more chilling. I can’t imagine the fear her children must have felt. It's a miracle they weren’t physically harmed in the shooting or crash, but the emotional scars are unimaginable.
Does anyone have more insight into what might have led to the argument? It’s baffling how such road disputes can escalate so quickly and tragically. It makes me wonder why the occupants of the other car felt the need to resort to violence.
Thinking of Jeretha's family and her kids, who are now facing life without their mother. It’s just so important that anyone with information comes forward. The community really needs to rally around these children and help bring those responsible to justice. Let’s keep sharing any updates we find and support the family as best we can.
