I'm really feeling for Takisha's family and friends during these horrific times. What stood out to me in this case was that the ex-boyfriend had known Takisha's kids since they were little. It's chilling to think that someone who was once trusted and so involved in their lives could do something so monstrous. It just breaks my heart to imagine what those kids are going through now, knowing the person who did this was a familiar face. It highlights how domestic violence can be insidious and unpredictable. Sending strength to the community rallying around the family now. It's so important to keep discussing the signs and risks, so maybe we can prevent something like this from happening again.
