I still can't wrap my head around how someone could commit such a heinous act, especially involving both a parent and their child. My heart goes out to Brooklyn's family, especially her mom, Cornelia, who's now stepping into the role of raising Kacey in these unimaginable circumstances. It’s truly devastating to think about the impact this has on Kacey and how she will grow up without her mother. The fact that key evidence came from text messages between Keith and his mom is unsettling. How can a mother be involved in something so awful? It makes me wonder about their relationship and what might have driven them to plan such an unspeakable act. The premeditated nature of this crime feels so cold and calculating. Props to the community for coming together to honor Brooklyn’s memory with the balloon release. It's comforting to know that she will be remembered for the love and joy she brought into the world, rather than the tragedy of how she was taken from it. Keeping Cornelia, Kacey, and the rest of Brooklyn’s family in my thoughts. I hope justice is fully served for all involved.

I came across this case and honestly, it tears me up thinking about little Kacey. Losing a mother at such a young age is something no child should ever have to endure. Brooklyn seemed like she had a whole world of love to give, and now she’s just a memory that Kacey will only learn about through stories from her grandma, Cornelia. It’s unfathomable to imagine what Cornelia must be going through—she's lost her daughter, yet she has to be strong for her granddaughter now. She's stepping up in an unbelievable way, ensuring Kacey grows up knowing she is deeply loved, even amid this tragedy. I hope the community continues to rally around them. It's so crucial for Cornelia and Kacey to feel that they aren't alone. Let's keep Brooklyn's memory alive through the kindness and support we offer. Anyone else feel like the system should provide more resources for families in this situation? They need all the support they can get during these heart-wrenching times.
