Has anyone else been following the developments around the Ybor City shooting? I'm really troubled by how easily these kids got their hands on firearms. Elijah was only 14, and Kayden, also just a teen, somehow had access to a 9mm. It makes me wonder about the broader issue of gun access, especially among young people. While we focus on getting justice for Elijah and Harrison, we also need to think about how to prevent weapons from falling into the hands of impressionable youths. This case is a stark reminder of the need for better community outreach and gun safety education. My heart goes out to both families - they must be going through unimaginable pain right now.

Does anyone else think it’s incredibly tragic how young Elijah and Kayden were? It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that these were just kids caught up in something so dire. I keep thinking about how easily it seems to have unraveled that night. Just a teenager, 14 years old, losing his life due to a moment of chaos and confusion. And then Kayden, also only 14, now facing such serious charges. It’s a reminder of how crucial it is for communities to have resources and support to guide and nurture youth, so they don't end up in situations like this. There’s so much potential lost here, and families left to grieve. If anyone has insight into how the community can come together to prevent these kind of tragedies, I’d love to hear it. We should be focusing on helping our kids rather than ending up with more of them in courts and morgues.
