I’ve been following Kelvi McCray’s case closely, and I just can’t get over the fact that she was on a FaceTime call with her friends when this horror unfolded. It’s chilling to think about being in their shoes, witnessing such a tragic moment in real-time and feeling so powerless to intervene. I can't imagine the trauma those friends must be experiencing now, knowing they witnessed Kelvi’s last moments and couldn't do anything to help. They’re definitely going to need a lot of support to process this. It’s a poignant reminder of how deeply domestic violence affects not just the victims but everyone around them. My heart truly goes out to Kelvi’s friends for the burden they now carry and to her family who lost such a bright and talented young woman. This makes me think even more about the need for proactive intervention in these situations so that nobody else has to endure something similar. What are your thoughts on how we can improve support for those close to victims in abusive situations?
