I’ve been following the John Michael Martin case for a while now, and Joshua Wade's recent claim definitely adds a new twist. It's disturbing to think that someone might take responsibility for something they didn’t do, but also entirely possible with Wade’s history. I'm deeply sorry for John’s family, who have had to revisit their grief yet again. If Wade truly is the killer, I hope this confession can bring some measure of closure.
I frequent that area, and understanding the proximity of the crime scene to places I know is unsettling. It’s a chilling thought that someone lost their life walking home from a peaceful coffee break. I can’t help but wonder if there were any witnesses along Northern Lights Blvd. that night who might not have come forward yet. It might be a long shot, but sometimes memories can be jogged by the smallest details.
My thoughts are with John's friends and family who have endured years without answers. Let’s keep sharing information and hope we can piece together the truth for them. Anyone else have theories or thoughts on Wade’s possible motive if it turns out he's telling the truth?
Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of John Michael Martin, and I just can't stop thinking about the timing of it all. It was just 3:00 a.m. when his body was found not far from where he was last seen. What strikes me is how quickly everything must have happened in those short 30 minutes after he left the Village Inn. It's almost like someone was waiting for him or knew his routine well enough to catch him off guard.
The route he took should have been a safe walk home, especially given Anchorage's community feel back then. This makes me wonder if there were any witnesses who might have seen someone acting suspiciously that night? Perhaps someone driving by or even fellow night owls living in that area could have spotted an unfamiliar face or vehicle and thought nothing of it at the time. I hope they might now come forward with anything significant.
My heart goes out to John’s friends and family, who have been seeking justice for nearly three decades. It's a relief that we've had an update, but let’s keep the conversation going to see if we can uncover more details. Does anyone remember something from that night or live in the area at the time? Any small piece of information could be vital.
Stay safe everyone, and keep sharing any thoughts or memories you might have.
