I keep thinking about the surviving mother and the unimaginable pain she must be going through. Losing her husband and two of her children in such a horrific event is beyond words. On top of that, she's dealing with her own physical injuries and the trauma of what she witnessed. It's a lot for one person to bear. I can't help but wonder if there's anything we as a community can do to support her and the other children during this time. Maybe some local organizations could step in with counseling services or financial assistance? It just feels like in a tragedy of this scale, the emotional and psychological needs can sometimes be overlooked after the initial shock wears off. If anyone knows of ways to help or if there's a fund set up for the family, please share. They could use all the support they can get right now.
