I've been thinking a lot about the shocking incident at North Marion Middle School. It's just so sad and unsettling, especially considering how many innocent children and families were present to witness such a horrific event. I can't even begin to imagine what Joseph Coles' children are going through right now, having lost their father in such a senseless act of violence. I heard that Watson claimed self-defense, but from everything I've read, that doesn't seem to hold water. How can it be self-defense when you grab someone by the neck and shoot them multiple times at close range? The whole situation just feels like a terrible, unnecessary escalation. My thoughts are with Joseph's family and those kids, who must be going through unimaginable pain right now. I hope justice prevails, and I send my deepest sympathies to everyone affected by this tragedy.
