Has anyone else been thinking about how quick and chaotic these road rage situations can get, especially with everything happening so fast? From what I've read, the whole thing apparently went down in less than 30 seconds. That's barely enough time to process anything, let alone react safely. I can't imagine the terror both Brian and Cassie must have felt in those moments. It’s terrifying how a simple trip to grab dinner for their kids turned into a tragedy. Wishing peace and strength to Brian’s loved ones, especially his children who now have to navigate life without their dad. ?
Hey everyone,

I've been following the tragic case of Brian Nickolas Collins, the young father who was shot outside a McDonald's in Daytona Beach. I’ve been thinking about the whole "stand your ground" aspect that might come into play here. It's mind-boggling to consider how quickly these situations can get out of hand and then how they are legally interpreted afterward.
What really gets me is how this law might impact whether the shooter faces any charges or not. I wonder how often these cases result in no charges being filed because of "stand your ground" claims, especially when it's something that started like a minor fender bender.
I can't stop thinking about Brian's family and those 10 kids who lost their dad over something that spiraled out of control in just seconds. Can you guys imagine the pain they're going through, trying to make sense of something so senseless? No family should have to navigate such complex legal and emotional terrain while grieving.
Would love to hear what everyone else thinks about the role of "stand your ground" laws in road rage incidents like this one. Do you think it’s fair, or does it complicate the pursuit of justice?
Sending my thoughts to Brian's family and hoping they find the support they need during this awful time.
