I keep thinking about how these tragedies impact communities, particularly young people. The loss of Christopher Granados is weighing heavily on Fort Lauderdale High School and everyone that knew him. At 16, Christopher had so much ahead of him, and I can't imagine what his family is going through right now. It's just terrible to think about how quickly a situation can turn tragic. I'm also really concerned about how the teens got access to firearms in the first place. It makes me wonder if this could have been prevented. The community needs answers and some kind of reassurance that something like this won't happen again. Hopefully, the investigation will shed some light on these unanswered questions. Meanwhile, I just want to send strength to both families involved. I can't even begin to imagine the weight of this loss.
