Just came across this baffling case of Dana Zelic and it made me curious about the timing of that phone call to her friend in August 2000. It seems pretty odd that her friend claimed to have heard from her without knowing she was missing. How did he miss that news for almost a year? Especially with her family actively looking for her? I wonder if there's any chance the call was misinterpreted or if it could have been someone pretending to be her for some reason. It's just such a strange piece of the puzzle.
