I recently stumbled upon Walter Charles Westbrook's case, and one detail I can't get out of my mind is his attempt to hitchhike into North Bay. It makes me wonder about who might have seen him or possibly picked him up that day. Given the description of his condition and the fact that he seemed agitated, it seems plausible someone may have offered him a ride—perhaps out of concern or just being helpful. Does anyone know if there were any witnesses or drivers who came forward claiming to see him on the highway? It's puzzling that despite being on a busy road, there seem to be no leads from that! Any insight or similar cases with hitchhiking involved might help us piece this mystery together.
