Has anyone else noticed how many missing persons cases from the late 90s seem to just lack media attention altogether? Take Deanna M. Smith, for instance. She went missing from Indianapolis in 1999 and it seems like there was barely any media coverage at the time, and almost nothing in the years since. Is it possible her case got overshadowed by something else happening in the news around then, or is this just another example of how certain cases just don't get the attention they deserve? Just thinking out loud here, but maybe if more people knew about these cases back then, we'd have more leads today. What do you all think?
