Has anyone ever looked into whether Joseph "Kook" Walter might have taken a ride with someone after leaving the Cozy Corner Lounge? I’ve been reading about the case and the thought that keeps circling back for me is how he could have just disappeared like that. High Prairie isn’t exactly a bustling metropolis, and it seems like someone would have spotted him if he was on foot. Did the community notice any unfamiliar vehicles around the time he went missing, or maybe someone saw a car pull over as he left the lounge? Sometimes folks catch a ride without thinking twice, especially at the end of a long day. Maybe someone has a recollection of a stranger or a seldom-seen acquaintance who interacted with Joseph on that day. I know it's a long shot given how much time has passed, but maybe an old memory could still crack this case open!
