I keep thinking about how the community on Iranistan Avenue must be feeling right now. It's chilling to think that something so tragic could happen so close to home. Jevoun was only 26—he still had so much ahead of him. I didn't know him personally, but it's clear from what friends and family are saying that he was a bright light in their lives. It's infuriating that the legal process can take so long. With the charges against Hommy Rodriguez being updated, I hope justice will be served soon, but it's a sad reminder that there are no guarantees. Has anyone heard if there's been any further movement on setting a trial date? I can't imagine what Jevoun's loved ones are going through, waiting for closure. My heart goes out to all of them during this incredibly difficult time.
