I can’t stop thinking about the children who witnessed such a horrific event. Losing a parent is unimaginably painful, but under these circumstances, it’s an unimaginable trauma they now have to live with. It's so important that they receive the support they need to cope with this tragedy and navigate the complex emotions that follow. I hope the community can rally around them and provide the care and resources they need. Does anyone know if there’s been any local support set up for them, like counseling or community outreach efforts? It just breaks my heart for the whole family. Prayers for their healing and strength during this incredibly difficult time.

Wow, the more I read about this case, the more it just stays with me. It must be incredibly tough for Miguelina's children to deal with this unimaginable loss. I can't help but think about what those kids must be going through right now. Growing up knowing that someone you once called family could do something so unfathomable is beyond world-shaking. Sometimes it's hard to grasp how domestic violence can escalate so tragically, even after a relationship has ended. It’s a stark reminder of the hidden pain behind closed doors. That neighborhood in Ansonia will probably never feel the same again, knowing what happened there. It fills me with astonishment and anger that a situation got to this point when resources are out there. The statement from the CCADV really hit home about the need for us to be vigilant about warning signs. It makes me wonder how many other families are silently enduring similar situations, and how important it is for friends and neighbors to watch out for one another. What do you all think about the role friends and communities can play in offering support to victims of domestic violence? Any ideas on how we can help make resources more visible or accessible to everyone?
