Does anyone else find it incredibly disturbing that this drive-by shooting happened during rush hour, in such a busy area filled with kids and families? The fact that little Dayvon Jr. was in the back seat just chills me to the bone. It's a miracle that he wasn't hurt, but I can't imagine the trauma he's going to face growing up knowing what happened to his dad. This case really highlights how dangerous these kinds of acts are, not only for the intended targets but for innocent people who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. My thoughts are with Dayvon's family, especially his son, during this difficult time. I hope the community comes together to provide support and that the police can gather more information to bring the shooter to justice.
I’ve been thinking about the location of Dayvon’s shooting, specifically how close it was to both a school and a park. It’s so terrifying to consider what could have happened if even more people had been caught in the crossfire, including kids at recess or people just trying to get their morning coffee. It makes me wonder if the shooter was aware of where they were or how reckless they were in that moment. I hope the community comes together to support everyone affected by this tragedy, especially Dayvon’s little boy.
